Carpenter and Wheelwrights

Over the years there have been many carpenters and wheelwrights in the village. The earliest we have found to date is Jonathan Duncan in 1819, the 1841 census lists 18. The last ones listed are from the 1920s, Douglas Tuthill, Eddie Bates and Dick Swann. If you know of any we have missed or can tell us about those we have recorded please contact us via the web-page. You can read the page here.
