Butterflies

Author: Duncan Westlake

These are lists of butterflies and moths that have been recorded found in and around Southrepps since 2009 in the case of butterflies, and in several surveys since 2008 for moths. They consist of records from the Norfolk Wildlife Trust sightings board at the Lower Street Information Point of Southrepps Common, and personal observations: it is therefore not a record of every species found here.

We always want more records, so if you would like to tell us of something you have found in our area, please contact us, either by commenting on this page from the ‘Leave a Reply’ section or by using the form at the main Nature Sightings page. Please tell us what you found, as well as when and where. Thank you!

The location shown for each species is usually where it was most recently recorded. The years column shows the first and most recent times; it is not necessarily the case that any were found in the intervening years! All the photographs have been taken in Southrepps.
