For those of you familiar with the website will know that we already have the memoir of Audrey Veness. We a have been given a longer version which includes her early life in Suffolk and greater detail about her childhood in Southrepps. A lot of it repeats what is in the shorter version but we felt it added to our knowledge of life in the village so we have added it to her page. When you read her conclusion and her disillusionment with the village of 1971, I hope like me that you can view today’s village in a much more positive light. Yes it has changed and if she were to return today she would be a lost soul, but I hope the friendship and comradeship that she valued so highly can still be found today. So scroll down her page and settle in for a long read its after the family photo.
